Dr. Jonas was born in Wisconsin and moved to the Fox Valley during elementary school. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and spent much of her high school years shadowing the team at Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from the University of Northwestern – St. Paul and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.
Following graduation, Dr. Jonas practiced small animal emergency medicine in St. Louis. Although she loved the fast-paced environment, she eventually returned home to be closer to family. Since rejoining Great Lakes, she has enjoyed forming meaningful connections with clients and patients and has been developing her orthopedic skills under the mentorship of Dr. Randy Van Maanen.
Outside of work, Dr. Jonas enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors—whether hiking, water skiing, or simply exploring nature. She shares her life with her Goldendoodle, Beemer.
